Estate Diary #1: Clearing Done

Clearing done
Our new 15-acre bare land is cleared. About S$30,000 has gone into clearing, inside a wider plan of about S$200,000 paid for the land and roughly S$110,000 still to spend on cultivation. Stated as spent to date, not a quote for anyone else's land — full maths lives in our planning notes, not in sales copy.
The high-density plan
We plant high-density and aim to finish cultivation by end of February. First yield is planned at about 400 kg per acre per month, rising toward 1,800–3,000 kg per acre per month at maturity three years from cultivation, on a 150 Rs per kg profit basis. These are estimates to be proven by harvest, not guarantees — the monthly letters will report what the bushes actually give.
How it is run
A manager runs the land day to day while we work in Singapore. Costs, planting density, cultivar choice and monthly progress go in these letters, mistakes included. That honesty is why this diary exists — and why it will become the trust backbone of our tea brand, when there is harvest to sell.
